HMI Programming

The Human Machine Interface (HMI) is often referred to as a touchscreen. This touchscreen will graphically illustrate the automated process that the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is controlling. It is also used to Start, Stop, and troubleshoot the equipment - as well as enter, save, and recall user-defined recipe parameters. Our engineers have extensive HMI and touchscreen programming experience. We work almost exclusively with Allen Bradley software, but can also reprogram your existing touchscreen. This graphical interface can be remotely viewed and controlled from your home computer or phone.

Touchscreens can also be used to record process data. This can be accomplished by programming the touchscreen to record the desired data on a local memory stick, SD card, or on the hard drive on a networked computer. This touchscreen software also has the ability to send Email or Text alerts, such as critical process events or process alarms to end users - with a local network setup. A wireless network can also give your operators or managers the ability to remotely view and/or control the process via imbedded VNC connection by using a smart phone, Ipad, or networked computer.
