  • The Human Machine Interface (HMI) is often referred to as a touchscreen.  This touchscreen panel graphically illustrates the Automated Process from which the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) is controlling.  It is also used to Start, Stop, and Troubleshoot the automated process, as well as enter, save, and recall user-defined recipe parameters.  Our engineers have extensive HMI and touchscreen programming experience.  We work almost exclusively with Allen Bradley software, including Factory Talk View Machine and Site Edition.  This graphical interface software can be used on an AB Panelview, or installed on Flat Touch Screen PC, desktop, or laptop computer.

Touchscreens can also be used to record process data.  This can be accomplished simply by programming the touchscreen to record the desired data on a local memory stick, SD card, or on the hard drive on a networked computer.  This touchscreen software also has the ability to send Email or Text alerts, such as critical process events or process alarms to end users - with a local network setup.  A wireless network can also give your operators or managers the ability to remotely view and/or control the process via imbedded VNC connection by using a smart phone, Ipad, or networked computer.

Nickel City Automation has many years of hands-on experience and can take on any size or complexity project.  Our attention to detail will create a user-friendly operator screen that will provide the utmost understanding of Automated Process.
